OUR BRANDS PORTFOLIO
We offer a unique mix of independent manufacturing brands in the market.
This includes our distribution brands Frank Custom and American Optical, as well as our sales brands Vasuma, Lunettes alf, Emmanuelle Khanh and Thierry Lasry.
FRANK CUSTOM
Made from Experience
Since 1996, Frank Custom has pursued the philosophy of creating eyewear with real comfort. The result: outstanding quality frames that impress with their perfect fit, simple elegance and timeless design. The design is inspired by South Korean tradition and culture.
The result is a diverse collection. The delicate PORTRAIT series is made from acetate-like G-Clex and, at around 5 grams per model, offers an extraordinary feel-good factor for every wearer. The current Browline models are a link to the voluminous acetate series, while the ß-titanium models exude Korean flair. The collection is rounded off by acetate frames with a chased temple core and pad system.
The extraordinary design language of Frank Custom is also reflected in the new acetate-titanium combinations. Here, a filigree metal frame has been embedded in the acetate frame. In addition, the Korean elements on the temple ends give the eyewear models individual accents.
AMERICAN OPTICAL
The original from the USA
American Optical has been pioneering groundbreaking technologies for almost two centuries and has left its mark on the optical world with some of the most iconic sunglasses models. Special classics: the ORIGINAL PILOT, the first sunglasses on the moon, and the SARATOGA, once worn by John F. Kennedy. All glasses are still 100% handmade in the USA in the company's own factory in Chicago.
American Optical continues to look to the future and set new standards for American eyewear. This year there is a special novelty: the launch of the new prescription frames. The collection is a perfect symbiosis of classic and contemporary designs with a variety of metal and acetate finishes. Unlike retro-inspired eyewear labels, American Optical offers the original. The authentic retro frames come from the American Optical archives and have been adapted to modern production techniques. In the new "From the Archives" collection, a few real treasures from the American Optical archive will be brought back to life in 2024 and adapted to the latest production techniques.
VASUMA
Eyewear from old town Stockholm
Vasuma Eyewear combines vintage influences, spirit of the time and sustainability in its innovative eyewear designs. The brand was founded in 2005 by three friends. Jan VAna, Steffen SUndelius and Lars MAlmsten (VASUMA) wanted to create an alternative eyewear brand that challenged the traditional brands.
Vasuma designs frames inspired by the most iconic vintage eyewear of the 50s and 60s, with a modern twist to emphasize the personality of the wearer. The majority of the collection is made in Italy, with a few individual models produced in small artisan factories in China and Japan. The material: sustainable and biodegradable cellulose acetate that meets the requirements for compostability, recycled steel and Japanese titanium. The aim of the brand is to minimize the environmental impact of the product development process. For this reason, environmental aspects are considered at every step of the production cycle - from the choice of material and production method to the delivery of the finished product to stores.
LUNETTES ALF
The eyewear boutique from Paris
Brothers Alexis & Germain founded alf - Atelier de Lunetterie Français - in Paris in 2018. Their collection is a tribute to the origins of "jolies lunettes". Alf is defined by an authentic design free of any eccentricities, inspired by the clear and refined styles of history.
The alf collections consist of timeless models that embody minimalist aesthetics through clear lines. All eyewear models are handmade in France. The materials used: Japanese acetate and, on request, anti-reflective photochromatic mineral lenses. This first-class combination guarantees a long-lasting product that will accompany the wearer regardless of trends and time. Traditional manufacturing, with its options for the care and repair of each pair of glasses, paired with plastic-free packaging, underline the brand's contemporary and sustainable approach. High-quality production, targeted communication and selective distribution ensure the exclusivity of the brand.
EMMANNUELLE KHANH
The French "Savoir-Faire"
The name Emmanuelle Khanh combines French identity, the value of craftsmanship, a unique style and know-how. The label creates eyewear designs that transcend time and femininity. Emmanuelle Khanh is characterized by oversized frames that combine elegance and modernity.
Emmanuelle Khanh, founder of the Paris-based brand, established the brand with the first oversized white sunglasses, a revolution in the fashion world at the time. The brand is continued by the label's artistic director, Eva Gaumé. Eva's sense of aesthetics paired with her enthusiasm for contemporary femininity and inspiration from iconic creations characterize the recent history of Emmanuelle Khanh. A special feature: for 50 years, the brand has relied on local and traditional craftsmanship with centuries of know-how. The handcrafted and polished frames emphasize traditional French savoir-faire - so they last a lifetime and defy trends and time.
THIERRY LASRY
Eyewear as a fashion statement
Thierry Lasry sees eyewear as the perfect accessory that combines beauty and architecture with fashion. The French label Thierry Lasry produces eyewear with an unmistakable design. Each frame is a masterpiece of clean lines with retro-inspired shapes and a futuristic twist.
Paris-born Thierry Lasry, son of an optician and a designer, founded his eponymous eyewear label in 2006. Playmobil, Lego and Japanese cartoons defined his childhood in the 80s. His creative vision is characterized by bright colors and geometric shapes. Self-confident, stylish and unexpected - these are the eyewear designs by Thierry Lasry. All models are entirely handmade in France and Italy. Thierry Lasry's designs are considered a fashion statement. The brand has become a popular luxury brand for celebrities such as Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Samuel L. Jackson and more.
